The kind of gallery I am thrilled to have found. I've seen your comments on some mutual photographer images a few times but this is the first time I've had a chance to see your work. Ana, reparei recentemente que não retribuí as suas palavras no meu guestbook como mandam as regras da boa educação. A verdade é que cheguei ainda à relativamente pouco tempo ao PBase e ando ainda a familiarizar-me com estas lides. Hi Ana...I've been having a lovely new year's day journey through your mind's eye. As I sit here, I'm reminded of New Year's '00 when I sat home and watched the celebrations around the world. It was a bittersweet day as I found myself alone and lonely but also comforted by the closeness of the world through my television...Portugal had my favorite tribute to the new Milennia...100 bagpipers and 100 drummers at the southern most tip of the southernmost penninsula of Europe piping and drumming the sun down on the last day of the last 1000 years. It still raises the hairs on my arms and neck to remember the beauty of this simple gesture. Happy New Year to you and keep up the great work. You have a rare gift and I'm inspired by your efforts. Hi Ana. Thanks for your comments on Forgotten Window. It was an image I took in 1990!(showing my age now), and perhaps my technique left alot to be desired...Phil is working on that with me, and I love having his wise and experienced hand guiding me (feel kind of lost while he is on holiday at the moment!). (Isto do digital é engraçado mas também se pode tornar esmagador, no que toca a processar fotos...) Tem belos trabalhos aqui, também...Curiosa a sua citação de Spinoza. Ele achava, de facto, que tudo no Universo não é bonito nem feio mas apenas percebido como tal pela nossa própria consciência...No seu caso, com o auxílio precioso de um pequenino aparelho de registo de imagens :);) PK

I can understand it quite well, if I'm not able of writing it as well (mainly because I love Portuguese and don't want to hurt it with my clumsy way of using it). I've been taking a glance on your galleries and they are really nice. Saudade may be a common place, but it's a beautiful one, and it can be found it in your photos. Donhana is totally dry and empty right now. Very bad raining year. Extreme drought. I love rain and hate heat. I'm an odd Andalusian... Parabéns!

Olá Ana. I already knew several of your photographs of which I'm particularly fond, and it is with a sincere pleasure that I'm leaving you these few words. To tell you how much I think you're talented and honest in your expression of the material world, but mainly how much I appreciate the way you share your soul and mental "architecture", going beyond the plain visual perception. Of course I miss a bit the words that usually go with your photographs, which can be read in the other website where your work is exposed. They serve as a context and sustain the images giving them the dimension I was previously talking about. Obrigado
