I have always liked duotones and monotones for their emotion and mood. I have been trying to make 2019 my year of color and learning how to let colors set a mood and tell the story. It is something new for me to learn. Every so often I go back to a noncolor photo just to stay inspired.

I now live in central Kentucky and take most of my photos from home. When my son died 2 weeks before I moved to KY, parts of me died also. I have camera and a couple lens now and this part of me is slowly coming back. Just adding this to my intro as so much has changed since I wrote the below.

I really enjoy the digital cameras. They allow me to see so many things from so many places. Thanks to all who have photographs here for sharing. I will keep taking photos as I savor the majesty of life. And, I will look forward to seeing all of your photos. I hope you enjoy the photos and paintings here. Most of my photos are 4X5 or 11X14 format.
I reexamined the reason I take photos. As I savor the majesty of life, I take photos to share it with those who cannot see it for themselves. Unfortunately this does not include you or the people who buy some of my photos. There, for many photos and most recent one, I have the full sized file suitable for printing at up to 13" by 19". These files are not yet sharpened as I do not know the size or media for your printing.
Anyone who would like to print out a photo for others may request this file. Retirement homes, missions, food pantries, dentists and doctors offices, etc are all suitable places. And of course you may print out a copy for yourselves if you desire. I encourage others to also join me in this and to spread our photographic art beyond ourselves and to others who may find value in it.
