Message from Richard Stone
Always mad about photography since I was 13, my camera equipment has never been far out of reach during the subsequent 36 years!
In November 2013, my wife Tanya persuaded me to share my photos on PBase.
Thanks to all of you who add comments - they are always appreciated!
Travellers rather than tourists, my family are always keen to visit places that for one reason or another have been less affected by the steady homogenisation of the world.
These photos portray our mutual love of nature, culture, landscapes and all things historical around the world.
Where appropriate I have also attempted to provide some background about the places we have visited, be that from a historical perspective or merely travel advice for others who plan to visit and take photos.

P.S. In most cases I have also provided larger "original" sized pictures which provide a much better image quality.
